The origins of Judeo-Christian religion and mythology come together in this mature science fiction page-turner.
To combat overpopulation on the planet Orion, the government releases a birth control virus to keep women from becoming pregnant. Only the brightest and most attractive of their species are allowed to mate. But the virus rages out of control, killing both mother and child. Attempts to develop a cure fail. They only have one option left: search other worlds for advanced societies that may be able to help.
The two most intelligent minds on Orion—and former best friends—Lucifer and Zues band together to search for a secret planet. When they finally arrive, they are greeted with unexplainable death and destruction. This planet is not the answer. Something doesn’t add up. They discover an extra unknown planet in the solar system.
The new planet is covered in lush land masses and bodies of water. Different species of hominids run—and mate—freely. Fire-breathing dragons guard the land. Lucifer is determined to figure out who or what created this planet. He thinks it just might be the key to saving Orion and the Orionites.

Lucifer was the only thing left in existence; he floated aimlessly throughout space and time for all time. Alone. Alone in the way he always had been, alone in the way he always would be, in the way that he deserved to be. Then way off in the distance, far away from him, he saw a rip in the fabric space and time itself. The heavens had torn themselves apart and revealed a tiny piece of their truth to him. Within the tear in the fabric of space-time, just for an instant, Lucifer thought that he saw a hand.
Was that the hand of…Was that the hand of God?
Even though he still possessed no arms to speak of, Lucifer eagerly reached out toward the hand. He wanted to reach it, wanted to touch it; he had to know it. He stretched out his nonexistent arms and hands farther and farther, crossing immense distances of space and time. He stretched them all the way across the universe, all the way back to the beginning of time itself, but still it was not far enough. No matter how far he traveled, no matter how far he reached out to find God, the rip in the fabric of space and time where the hand of God resided moved farther and farther back and remained just out of Lucifer’s grasp. He was desperate to know God, desperate to see his, her, or its face. It was maddening to be so close and yet so far away. He knew that God was there, but where could it be, why would it be, and how could it be? How could Lucifer find it? How could Lucifer find God?
Then to Lucifer’s horror yet again, the rip in space and time he had so desperately been trying to reach closed up as quickly as it had appeared. Suddenly Lucifer felt his body begin to disembark on a new journey. He felt his molecules begin to destabilize as the atomic bonds broke free of one another. His subatomic particles were torn asunder and disappeared into the void or to someplace else entirely. Now there was emptiness. It was devoid of form. Darkness was over the surface of the void, and the spirit of God hovered throughout this darkness. He had been taken back to the beginning; he had been shown the way.
